Scott Bakula--Is this actually him singing??

Nichelle Nichols can sing because she used to work for Duke Ellington in the years before TOS was on the air, but she's one of the few TREK actors with pipes.

I would have liked to hear her sing. I think she did at one of the convention parties this year, but I was downstairs watching the Connor/ Dominic comedy show (or the ConDom show as they referred to it!). Upstairs Susie... oh heck.. I cant remember her last name.. she played a Klingon.. the mother of Alexander.. she sang. Avery Brooks also sang at the convention as did Nana Visitor. Maybe there were others, but those are the only ones I remember right now.

One of my favourite QL moments is Sam singing Imagine to his little sister. He has a great voice.

Funny you should mention this : it was one of the very rare television moments that really brought a tear in my eye. Not only did he do a beautiful version of it (although not the complete song, but that's ok since I have the complete version on my pc), but given the context of the episode, it was a very emotional moment.
His sister didn't believe he was from the future and asked him what happened to John Lennon in the future. Instead of mentioning the murder, he told her that Lennon would write his most beautiful song ever, and from the moment he sang it to her, she knew that this song could indeed only be from Lennon...
Like I said, one of the TV moments that will always stay with me, it was that powerful.

^^ Yes, that sounds like the version on the QL soundtrack CD. It's a studio recording, rather the on-set performance he did for that episode (was it "The Leap Back"?), but it's nice to have the full song. And it's beautifully performed by Scott, I think.
