Scott Bakula co-authors minority report AGAINST MERGER

Hi AJ...
Is something to be considered SPAM
just because you do not understand it?

This is the most important issue
Screen Actors Guild has ever faced.
There are people determined to destroy
the union that has produced EVERY SINGLE
Star Trek production ever made!

I received my ballot in the mail yesterday
and I immediately VOTED NO on the merger.
I truly hope all professional actors will do the same
and SAVE the SCREEN ACTORS GUILD from ending up
on the ash heap of history, as many in A.F.T.R.A. would have it!

Again, the reason I am posting here is because
Scott Bakula is an actor of interest to STAR TREK fans
and he has taken a postion against merger.
I support Scott's position. I, too, am against
this proposed bad merger deal.
It simply is not a good deal for members of SCREEN ACTORS GUILD.

Why isn't it a good deal. Explain, in your own words. What are the reasons some want to approve this deal and why are those reasons misguided?

This isn't normally a place to solicit votes, especially since most people here have no voting power.

Can you please elaborate on why you believe this merger is bad, that is what everyone is dying to know. I think most people would agree that Scott Bakula is a great guy, but that's neither here nor there. Why should we care is the question at hand. If you can answer that, then I think people will be willing to discuss this issue with you.
 
As I posted previously, the economic losses to SAG members should be all the motivation they need to vote a resounding NO!

Thanks for the link. I have no real knowledge of this situation or connection to it. But I am a huge fan of Scott. It is fascinating to see this. I never seen him in a mood like this outside of a character he was playing.

I think he should be the President of SAG. I met him at the 20th Anniversary Quantum Leap convention. All of the guest stars there had nothing but praise for him. He is a real people person. Because he really cares for people. Being friendly with the whole cast and crews of his shows and remembering their names years and years later when he sees them again.

Maybe he should run for an office outside of Entertainment industry? The state of Wisconsin needs a new Governor that would be pro-union! I would vote for him.
