Sci-Fi Translation Needed

You should make a video of her doing the "We are coming" thing. That's great. :rommie:

Well, the more we talk to her, the more it sounds like Omaha Star was absolutely correct. Except, now this crush on Dr. Horrible business is getting funnier and funnier.

She tried to send him another email last night. I printed a picture of him out for her, and when I went to shut off her bedroom light, I found the picture on the bed next to her pillow, and one of her arms was wrapped around it. She just announced that she wanted to take the picture to daycare today because some the girls at school might like him.

My daughter is in love with Neil Patrick Harris!

^That sounds SO funny.

I'll have to google this "Dr. Horrible" character! and find out what exactly we're talking abut here.

I don't know who's funnier, Nathan Fillion as the hammy, singing superhero, or NPH as the mad scientist.

This is a little girl who, a year ago, scared the hell out of her daycare workers by responding to them with, "Ex-ter-mee-nate" in a gravelly voice, and then scared them again two weeks ago, while using same voice to chant, "We are coming. We are coming."

And then going, "We are coming. We are coming. ... Tomorrow." And laughing hysterically at the timing.

We've had a lot of 'splaining to do.
you are an excellent parent, and do not let anyone tell you different.

what is shocking is that you sent her to a daycare centre with workers who are not Doctor Who fans.

My daughter is well versed in Sci-Fi. In fact she asked to watch Doctor Who yesterday, and we started the Eccelston's season for her. When Rose was finished she asked for MORE.

She sat with me through my watching of B5 earlier in the summer ... she's even seen The Tomorrow People. She's a good little geek ... except, I think she has really good social skills too.

If she can scare adults by chanting "We are coming," she has social skills I envy. :rommie:
