Sci fi, and fantasy toys

Transformers? Jeez, y'all are kids. I had an Interceptor from UFO and the Bionic Man Space Shuttle/operating table, an original Luke and an original Vader (about 3" high), Micronauts and a Buck Rogers fighter with "realistic action sounds". Transformers. Whatever.;)
Y'call that old? My first toy was a block of wood mah daddy carved from a tree he cut down for heatin' up our stove! It didn't do much, but it's all I had and I liked it! ;)

Seriously, I think one of the oldest pieces in my collection is the 60's Dinky Star Trek Klingon ship. I haven't had the heart to take it out since I bought it a few years back! :p

My favorite was probably the 3 foot long Mattel Eagle from Space: 1999. I still have it. One day I'd like to fix it up and paint it. The Micronauts were cool too.

Th Eagle was an amazing toy/playset. I still have the trashed hulk of one around somewhere. It's a pity they're so rare to come across.

And my favorite was Micronauts. A few years ago, I developed quite a collection of Takara's 2003 tribute Microforce line.

Fireball XL 5, it was about 2 feet long, and the front popped off into a separate space shuttle, and the sides opened up and rockets shot out. Steve Zodiac could come out and ride around on the floating rocket cycle.

This was the best toy ever.

Bionic man? Vader? Whippersnapper!

GI Joe 12", with Jeep, Mercury Capsule, and the fuzz-head adventure team yellow helicopter.

- and then, the fuel of my sci-fi dreams!-

MAJOR MATT MASON, SGT STORM, AND SCOPRIO, complete with cat-tracks, rover, and the coup de grace- the XRG-1 re-entry glider!

:)

I had Major Matt Mason, and the Space Station, as well as several of the 12'' Joes (w/the footlocker). I always wanted the Mercury capsule, but never got it. :(

I found a fairly cheap Eagle on Ebay but between that one and the one I already had, I'm still missing some parts and the John, Helena and Victor figures.

Definitely Major Matt Mason! It's been too many years since all of that was on the shelves (I'm currently working on a digital version of MMM for Poser, including much of his equipment :)).

I also had Zintar (one of the Zeroids), Captain Lazer, and later, the Mego Batman, Superman and Spiderman.

"Did he have the little backpack that made him fly?"

Good Lord! However did you find time to play with them? It must have taken hours to hitch the dinosaur to the wagon so you could get to school!

Yeah, I had the GI Joes with that cool fuzzy haircut, too. I didn't have the Mercury capsule but I had the full Jonny Quest-style frogman uniform with the impossible-to-remove-without-tearing wetsuit and the underwater pistol flashlight that wouldn't stay in his stupid hand.
