Sci fi, and fantasy toys

I loved Star Wars Action Figures, I had

Hoth Luke Skywalker
Stormtrooper
Darth Vader
Imperial Guard
Bosk (reptilian Bounty Hunter)
Admiral Ackbar
Tarkin

some others too, but I can't quite remember.

I also had a Terminator figure and a superman. I was a huge fan of the 1940's superman cartoons thanks to cheap public domain tapes my grandmother bought, and would reenact the episodes.

And Batman as well. I saw Forever and B&R in Theaters, and watched the cartoon (still awesome) on TV every week. In addition to the figure, I had batman pajamas.

I remember having a Back to the Future delorean toy, although I had never seen the movie.

so yep, when I was a kid, I was into Star Wars and Superman mostly. I also liked the Pokemon cartoon a lot, but wasn't into the cards or game, so I didn't have any products related to it.

I like miniatures of my favorite spaceships like Micro Machnes, Titaniums, and action figures of my favorite superheroes.

I still love my TNG Bridge Playset and the playmates figures (the early ones). I have them in storage though.

One thing though that holds a special place for me is my Wayne Manor Playset from Batman Returns. It was the last thing my grandmother bought me before she died.

Transformers G1. none of the powerlinxing minicon crap, thanks.

Word to that. Although I'm a bit more open in my tastes, having toys from most of the lines, G1 will always be my favourite. My collection isn't massive by a lot of standards, I think I've got about eighty Transformers in all, but I still don't have room to display them all.

One thing Calhoun, the "powerlinxing minicon crap" (Armada) while generally not a particularly exciting line gave us our first official and fairly movie accurate Unicron toy, and he is a thing of beauty. The sequel line, Energon, gave us the first decent representation of Arcee, so there are still interesting bits for oldschool fans.

For most of elementary school I'd say Star Wars (not surprisingly) topped my most loved toy lists. My favorite figures were the droids and aliens. The dream for me was to own the large AT-AT toy (which was on display in a local toy store window for well over a year after Empire came out).

When 1984 rolled around, Star Wars was quickly replaced by Transformers, which remain my favorite toy line to date.
I still collected Star Wars for a while, but it got to be waaaay too much to collect both. Since Batman is my favorite superhero, I have quite a few Batman figures thrown in for good measure as well.

Powerlinking was a mixed bag. In some cases, it didn't work well at all. In other cases, it was spot on perfect. The Emergency Team is one of my favorite teams of Mini-Cons since they're each rescue vehicles and they all transform into super heavily powered weapons (and fairly cool robots to boot). :)

See I always thought (and apologies for dragging this somewhat off topic) that Minicons would have been more fun if instead of sticking tiny sports cars and bicycles to your bigger toys, the smaller robots had all turned into weapons and armour. That could have been badass. Similar to the energon weapons in Energon, but not so freaking lame.

I really liked my Star Trek (Playmates, mostly, including the entire original and Next Generation crews (two versions of Kirk, Scotty, Chekov, and a few others), though I had the Galoob versions of the Next Generation crew, too) and X-Men action figures, particularly the Age of Apocalypse line of X-Men figures. I'd a number of other sci-fi action figures (actually, I think all of them were sci-fi or science fantasy), including a bunch of Star Wars figures (some of which even date to Revenge of the Sith, thanks to some Star Wars-obsessed distant family friends who tended to send us extra figures which duplicated in their collections).

Oddly enough, my sister just mentioned to me a week or two ago how much fun the 90s Star Trek figures were.

I still collect. Although I don't consider them toys. What I have are truly collectibles. I have an extensive collection of Star Wars figures. A lot of them are the Hasbro 3 3/4 inch figures, but I also collect the Sideshow Collectibles 12 inch figures. I also have Sideshow's Buffy figures and Lord of The Rings figures. Along with those I have a couple pieces by Hot Toys from their Resident Evil and Dark Knight lines.

I used to collect Marvel Legends, and indeed still have all of my figures from that line, but the rising price and decline in quality has led me to cease purchasing any more of them. My main focus right now is 1/6th scale things from Sideshow and Hot Toys. They're about the finest quality collectibles out there right now.

Transformers? Jeez, y'all are kids. I had an Interceptor from UFO and the Bionic Man Space Shuttle/operating table, an original Luke and an original Vader (about 3" high), Micronauts and a Buck Rogers fighter with "realistic action sounds". Transformers. Whatever.;)

Oh yeah? I have a Buck Rogers XZ-31 Atomic Disintegrator pistol from the 1930s.:cool:

You are a lucky devil-and as your prize I'll be sending you an official Buck Rogers cane and wheelchair, you old fart.(Just kidding-you really got a pistol de Buck Rogers from the 30s? Where did you get it?)

My favorite was probably the 3 foot long Mattel Eagle from Space: 1999. I still have it. One day I'd like to fix it up and paint it. The Micronauts were cool too.

I remember being THRILLED to get my hands on the cubits and collar pins from the ORIGINAL Battlestar Galactica. Yes, I am that old. I was also highly envious of my cousin's Star Wars toys.

I had the Corgi minature of the Eagle with the red highlights. Great fun!
