Scariest episode

commodore64

Vice Admiral
Admiral
With Halloween fast approaching - list the scariest episode on ENT. I have two for different reasons:
* Impulse - great Vulcan zombie episode
* Harbinger - horribly, horribly bad

I don't know about scary, but until we realized Phlox was a few fries short of a Happy Meal in "Doctor's Orders," that one was kinda suspenseful..

I thought parts of "Observer Effect" were kinda creepy, especially the part where Dr. Phlox recognizes what they are.

impulse
observer effect
singularity the opening shot with the knocked out crew for starters

silent enemy

council

I'd say Impulse and Doctor's Orders, as they were homages to two different types of horror movie.

The soundtrack to Silent Enemy makes it my number three choice; those ghostly tapping footsteps in the music really set a creepy tone as the crew hunted/were hunted by the aliens in the dark.

Singularity...when Phlox wanted to operate on Mayweather. So creepy...so scary.

Oooo. I'd forgotten about that. That *WAS* pretty darn creepy.
John B. does "creepy" rather well. :D

I thought "Impulse" was scary but in a fun, horror kind of way. But for me the scariest had to be "Twilight" with Earth getting blown up and the final battle where the Enterprise blows up.

"Impulse" was kind of scary and creepy...if a bit too cheesy and zombie-ish at times. At least you felt dread in that one, something missing from many episodes.

I can't believe no one's picked Strange New World. When I first saw that episode I thought it was so wonderfully atmospheric and spooky. Still do, it may be my favourite Ent episode.

Actually, I had thought of that one. It was one of my top two or three scariest/eeriest. But "Impulse" had one thing so common in modern Halloween and horror lore: zombified people lurching and running around killing others. :D As cheesy as some of the episode was, it seemed more "Halloweenish" yesterday than the others.
