SeeSaw originally started out as Project Kangeroo, a joint venture between the main UK TV networks to have a one stop site for online VOD, the competition laws forced them to sell it off, but it was picked up by Arqiva and turned in to SeeSaw which launched today.
They currently have around 3000 hours of content from the BBC, Channel 4, Five, and various independent production companies. It's funded by advertisements and they're supposed to announce content deals with US producers and a subscription service in the near future too.
I'd guess this is a UK only service similar to Hulu being a US only service but feel free to try. www.seesaw.com.
There's some more information here.
