Helen Magnus and company must retrieve the preciouse vampire source blood to save abnormals (and a portion of humanity) from the dreaded Cabal. But there is more afoot than meets the eye! How good was this episode? And, how good is the first season?
For the episode, I say above average. Watson as the smart one was done by Ben Kingsley, which is therefore old and lame. (Watson as "Colonel" Doyle's model, instead of the well known Dr. Joseph Bell of Edinburgh? Is the show announcing that the Sanctuary universe is barely related to our own?) But Watson kept alive with power machinery strapped to his body?
Yes, indeed, Sanctuary has once again gone over the top into total lunacy, therey turning what was simply stupid into great fun. Ditto, the completely preposterous way that Will Zimmerman gets undressed---then tell the invisible women she need never than him for taking off his pants!
I would say excellent except the plot has been dragged out.
As for the series, I would say average. There is already a tendency to stop writing actual stories for some footling "arc."
