Sanctuary: Really happy I watched it all!

Finished season 1 and episode 5 of season 2.

Question though that im sure you guys asked seaons ago but here they are.

1. Why did they kill off Ashley? She was a hotty.

2. Why was the whole Cabal storyline kind of rush and droped so quick.

Did they even Drop the virus on people and what was the result.

And why were they so easly broken up and killed off?

1. My guess is that they wanted to make Magnus sexier, and they thought having a daughter like Ashley wasn't helping.

2. Sanctuary appears to operate on the principle that the dramatic part of the story should be the part put on screen. Then after that's been done, it's over. The Cabal killing Ashley, then being defeated was impossible to top. So the show didn't try. Or, in other words, the Cabal storyline wasn't really rushed, it only seems so by comparison with the bloated storylines of most serialized shows, which are dragged out, then reset so the story can be done again in some form or other.

Yeah, I had no problem with how the Cabal story played out. I thought it was paced perfectly. I honestly prefer the Smallville style single season storylines when it comes to these kinds of shows. I know a lot of people hate Smallville, but I thought the way that they did their storyarcs, with the big story arc mostly being tied up by the end of the season, but with some smaller threads leading into the main story for the next season.
