This is hilarious! From IO9

And I can nitpick with the best of them, man, and go down the list of things I saw on IMDB where they found holes in it and go, 'You are f***ing right. If there was a big ten-ton robot coming outside that gas station, surely we would f***ing hear it!' And I missed that!
I remember three months ago that was the biggest gripe that most members here (and other sites) had about the movie - after of course how Skynet fails to kill Connor even on its own fucking turf! But when the main star of the movie denounces/acknowledges the ridiculousness of the plot, you gotta wonder what true merit the movie actually has. T4 was a mess from 30 mins onwards and I will always hold a grudge against McG for ruining a truly golden opportunity to revive a once beloved franchise.

Or, everyone will want to watch the movie again with the special dvd "this is shit" commentary from Sam? And, what the fuck do the msfttk people call themselves these days? Special gueststar much?

If only some of the Heroes actors would start being similarly picky with their scripts. :rommie:

Umm, I hardly interpreted that as him saying it "sucked ass."

In fact if you read the original interview, he actually defends the movie up front. He just admits that, yes, some of the nitpicks people had about it were right, and he felt dumb for not noticing and pointing them out to McG before they shot it.

Personally, I don't get the hate for this movie. It obviously doesn't meet the high standard of the first two, and is a little too bleak and grim for it's own good, but it's still a pretty well-executed summer action movie nonetheless. There's nothing about it that screams "disaster" or "mess" to me.

Don't bite the hand that feeds you.. and feeds you well ;)

After the meal is finished though (including DVD sales and some con appearances) look out for the true opinion of some actors.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that he's admitting it "sucked", but it does seem like he's fairly critical of the script... which is kind of funny, considering he played one of the few halfway interesting characters in the film.

You know actors only read the scenes they're in.

hell, sometimes they're only given the scenes they're in depending on security.

He might have just assumed that the rest of it didn't stink while he was making his fraction of the movie.

I agree. It certainly has its faults but I enjoyed it nevertheless. I went in expecting something along the lines of Transformers 2 and I was surprised to see a film with good action and even some nuance. It wasn't anything on the level of T2 but I wasn't expecting that. I was expecting a fun summer movie and that's exactly what I got.

Y'know how roller coasters have signs that say "you need to be this tall to be on this ride"? Well some films need a sign which says "You need to be this drunk to enjoy this movie".

HE and Anton where the only good bits about the movie.

Sam is incredibly easy on the eyes. I'm looking forward to seeing more and more of him in future ;)

I liked bits and pieces of T4. Moon Bloodgood was a decent character, and Sam Worthington was great. I also liked the Gubuna appearance...

No.
He admits to not getting how the robot(s) snuck up on them. He I can forgive cause reading the script it obviously didn't say the Harvester Bot was dropped off at the site. It didn't come across the ground.
In the film this is visually evident. Still the haters would rather hate than admit they are wrong about that point and others.

Your thread title is wrong, it only shows your bias not Sams.

FAIL.

I still think the trailer with Nine Inch Nail's "The Day The World Went Away" was more exciting than the actual movie. I actually watched that trailer about a month ago, just for the sheer hell of it.

I've always wondered that about all the Terminator sequels. Don't know why this one should be any different.

I enjoyed T4, much to my surprise. Big improvement on T3, probably most action of all the series and decent performances from Worthington and Yelchin (Bale was just okay). And even McG done well - this was a long way away from Charlie's Angels, IMHO. Is there an award for Most Improved Director? I'd give it to him.

I don't get the hate for this movie. I'd go and see a sequel from the same makers in a heartbeat.
