Sam Rami to direct Dr Strange 2

To go back to the China thing, I thought they already said they wouldn't be able to release it there because America Chavez is gay? Or was it just that they wouldn't cut her being gay to get a release in China?

I think Disney is betting that their moves are going to pay off financially. It is interesting to me how Disney has been taking social and political progressive stances lately and standing by those decisions. They are a big enough power internationally that they are one of the few entertainment companies that can do this; it just surprises me given some of the things they have done in the past.

Since we're only five days away it might be best for people who don't want to be spoiled to step away.

Something got leaked today

I saw the leak, its a bit of footage from somewhere that is pretty definitely real, so just in case people want to know

Its Wanda talking to (at least part of) the Illuminati, consisting of John Krasinski as Reed Richards (in a very cool FF costume), Anson Mount as Black Bolt (in a fairly comics accurate Black Bolt costume, complete with cowl but you can still tell its him), Captain Carter, and the Maria Rambeau Captain Marvel (at least that's what I'm assuming based on the trailers that we've seen),

You made it so cryptic it isn't event a spoiler anymore.
Saying something leaked isn't a spoiler.

Yea... I mean saying something got leaked is actually BENEFICIAL to avoiding spoilers in warning people 'hey, there's news out there... Might want to shut it down and avoid Marvel forums and other stuff you might normally be looking at"

I couldn't resist and read the spoiler, and I'm shocked they actually
brought Mount back as Black Bolt, but from what we've seen, this is probably a variant from the version on Inhumans.

Wow, major spoilers. Not even leaks or text, actual full blown video. That sucks.

That said, it looks awesome, so there's that. I'm having a hard time getting hyped for this film (not sure why), but it looks like it should be entertaining, at the least. I'm not convinced it will make any sense, but here's hoping.

Dr. Strange comics weren't meant to make sense back in the 70s.
My brother's 9 years older than me and had comics from the 70s that I read in the 80s and Doctor Strange always just seemed really really weird. I never quite got into it and was surprised it managed to be something Marvel adopted for the masses.

Some of those 70s plotlines and art though. There was some kind of evil sorcerer group who at least one of the guys looked like a cartoony version of Merlin with like a wizard hat and little stars on it and stuff. I vaguely remember a plotline where they were turning stars into humanoid form and our sun turned into a woman.

Agents of SHIELD's problem is that it had too much stuff that just didn't fit with what the MCU was doing. Even if they hadn't done the weird future thing, the stuff with Terrigen getting out really doesn't fit well with the MCU unless it was way more localized then it seems to be, becvause there definitely wasn't a notable amount of people randomly getting super powers from the fish pills in any MCU movie.

I honestly wish we had Coulson, May, Daisy and the AoS version of the Reyes Ghost Rider in the main MCU, but the AoS show itself just can't be fit in like the Netflix Marvel shows could. The Netflix shows have the benefit of being contained to sub-world ending threats and could easily have been happening alongside other MCU stuff, and even then I'm sure we'll get some changes to stuff from them (I'm betting on an Elektra recast if Daredevil gets a movie or Disney Plus show).

He doesn't hate it, it just isn't part of the MCU.
Yeah, but at this point when the MCU is acknowledging other non-MCU productions like the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies, the Venom movies, the X-Men movies and so forth, Agents of SHIELD still getting completely ignored is getting rather conspicuous. I mean, even the Agent Carter series got acknowledged in What If, which is more limelight that Agents of SHIELD got.
