Salisbury out at ESPN

Thank god. Never liked him and his arrogant sounding attitude. Him feeling underpaid? Please. Agreed that wasn't classy. Now if only they got rid of that Mark Schlerrith (Or whatever his name is) things would be an improvement for ESPN.

Salisbury is a tool. Other than Emmitt Smith, he's they're only weak link. Good riddance.

I disagree with tomalak about Schlereth - I like him

Schlereth is a typical meathead ... not bad, not particularly good. He's bland, and I don't mind him. As for Salisbury, his departure is a disappointment -- far from the best NFL analyst on the network, but far, far from the worst.

Now, if ESPN were to rid itself of Chris Berman, Stephen A. Smith, Skip Bayless, Keyshawn Johnson, John Kruk, Mike Tirico, Paul Maguire, Jay Mariotti and Joe Morgan, then the so-called Worldwide Leader in Sports might actually make some headway towards no longer being a parody of itself. Kicking Theesman out the door was a first step. Now the purges must commence.

That guy's ego must be bigger than that of most of the NFL players he compares himself to. :guffaw:

As if anyone else is going to offer him anywhere near what he's asking for.

He must have an awfully big ego to ask for a seven figure salary and be surprised that they didn't go for it. I'm sure there's plenty of ex-players out there that aren't nearly as bland as he was, and some of them might even know how to talk football.

Can't an ex-Trojan get a little love around here???

I've always liked him. Better than many athletes-turned-broadcaster.

JMHO

No, Stanford.

Didn't our absolutely pitiful football team, maybe the worst in the Pac-10, beat USC this last year? You know, I believe we did. :D

I got invited to a party, and let's just say Stanford winning that night was the best moment of the evening. Good times.

As long as they keep Tim Cowlishaw and Woody Paige... they can get rid of everyone else

Oh, and Kornheiser should stay... but I am tired of Wilbon!

And forgive me for saying so, but what is Stuart Scott still doing with the network?

As for Stephen A Smith, I find him totally annoying!
