Yes, I was gutted. I really had a thing for Kong when I was a kid, we watched that movie at least once a year. The remakes had zero emotional resonance for me. If I see any of it now it I'm right back to being a kid tearing up and feeling helpless outrage.
The opening of UP. The rest of the movie doesn't keep to tone, thankfully, but those opening minutes are heart wrenching.
Testament. Depressed me for a week. I still get depressed when I think about it.
