It's only a model. - Patsy, Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Very impressive.

Has anyone ever tried any interiors on this ship, or were they never fleshed out?

I ask because I envision this is as being like a baby Defiant or an overgrown Runabout.

Thanks dude! :)

It's nowhere near that large Wingsley, only 24.8 m (about 81 ft.) in length. It a scout-class ship. I built the interior, and there's only room for two seats and a bunk area, basically like a semi-trailer.

The thing doesn't even have a door, just a hatch up top. It's built for speed, strength, and long-range-and-back travel, as I see it as a scout. I'll have to ask Ryan for some more back-info on it, eh.

Wasn't that one of the ones for Perpetual Entertainment's Star Trek Online before it went to Cryptic Studios?

I like it. I can see it being docked with a ship the same way the captains yacht would be.

Is it me, or do the pylons bend like Voyager's did? It also kinda looks like that can be pulled in close to the main hull of the craft.

Edit... And then I click on the one that shows them pulled in close... and make myself look like an idiot.... Yay Me!

Thanks guys, glad you enjoy 'er, eh! :D

Not sure sure about that, Arkady. I just know that Ryan did it originally for ST Online. But I just saw the art posted over at SFM last year and liked it so much, I had to build it. I know noting more about it past the concept sheet and some Qs I asked Ryan about some detailing.

No worries Kaziarl, Qs are good, eh. ;)

Right now they are just extended out 3.92 m. She is rigged for full nacelles angular movement with the outer-struts (forearms) rotating 45º up, and the nacelles themselves rotating another 45º in themselves to level them off (see Ryan's concept sheet for more info on that).

I just prefer the way she looks with her nacelles at "half-mast," so-to-speak. Purely an aesthetic choice.

Thanks again guys! :D

This ship looks fantastic, and you're doing an even better job with it!
Love your work! :)

It will be a really sad thing if this design isn't in ST:Online.

Stupid Perpetual Entertainment and their Pie-In-The-Sky dreams.

Cryptic Studios better not be phoning this one in, and if they do screw the pooch stylistically at launch (No clue what is up with those roll-pod attachments on a Sovereign-Class), they better re-skin the ships Pretty-Darn-Quick in the first major update patch.

Great work on the 3D-design of this Scout-Type Starship.

Looks awesome, Deg. The texturing work is especially nice and gritty looking.

I actually took some inspiration from this design myself in terms of certain hull details that I thought I might be able to carry over to my USS Grandeur.

Thanks guys! :)

And that's a nice bird, the Grandeur, Vektor. Have you finished her yet?

Full orthos, and another shot at warp...
