S6 of Entourage

Temis the Vorta

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
Just finished it on DVD. Wow, that was lame. Is this show just running out of ideas and needs to pack it in?

The plotlines were weak - I did like the season-long battle between Ari and Llloyd, and Drama getting himself into trouble with the jackass network exec. I've never cared a bit about Eric and I still don't. Vince is just an empty space in the center of the show, except for S5, which was interesting for his struggles to return to the top of the heap but when he's on the top of the heap, he's utterly uninteresting. I don't care how dreamy blue his eyes are. :) Can't they find something good for him to do besides provide occasional porno scenes?

The girl who plays Sloan is a terrible actress, I can't believe they're going to shoehorn her back into things. Eric's skinny crazy-bitch girlfriend isn't a very good actress either - too much whining and arm-waving. Pull up your sleeves! :rommie:

I was hoping the stalker plotline might go somewhere - maybe even introduce an ongoing character who is full-on crazy (this show desperately needs another Billy Walsh - hey maybe the stalker should have been him!) - but instead it fizzled with the dumb sorority prank thing and even the comic payoff with the porn store guy fizzled.

Is S7 on HBO now? Is it still being lame? Is there any hope to save this show? It used to be so funny...

I totally, completely agree, Temis. I wish S6 never existed at all. Hell, I wished the show had ended either after Season 5 which gave Vince some interesting material which doesn't come often for him or Season 2 when the show had more of the spirit that made it great. At least, I would have had an ounce of respect for the show.

S7 isn't anything special. It's just as lame as S6. The only thing that captures my interest is Vince's adrenaline junkie storyline which began after Vince does this dangerous stunt. It could go somewhere. Already, Vince is showing signs of developing a drinking problem and an addiction to painkillers. But with this show, I wouldn't surprised if all of this disappear without a trace and we're back to Vince being the way he was before--a smiling, arrogant manchild who barely has enough character to drive a storyline.

Watching a HBO show like Entourage going through a rapid decline makes me miss the days of the Sopranos and Six Feet Under.

Season 7 is just more of the same. Except Vince is acting more irresponsible like he did in the Mandy Moore era. Highlights: Vince gets a haircut and it upsets a director. Vince dates a porn star and she's a bad influence. Except she's smarter and more responsible than he is so that doesn't make any sense.

I think Rik Mayall should show up and take the boys for a fateful double decker bus ride.

Who would have ever thought Stan Lee and Sasha Grey would ever share a scene together though? Hahahaha

Sure its on the decline, but still entertaining and man did Ari's wife look hot in that lingerie or what?

I think they're going a little crazy with the celebrity cameos this year.

Also the porn star girlfriend is a horrible actor.

Already, Vince is showing signs of developing a drinking problem and an addiction to painkillers.
Hmm. That could either be good or a sign of true desperation. It's not very much in keeping with the tone of the series so far, but if they keep going, they're going to have to try every conceivable idea just to have material coming in.

What's next, Lloyd and Drama have a torrid affair just to piss off Ari. Meanwhile, Turtle is abducted by aliens and Eric joins the Tea Party. Billy Walsh resurfaces as a suspected serial killer which actually turns out to be Mrs. Ari. In the season finale, Los Angeles is struck by an asteroid, which destroys civilization to the level of cavemen. Tune in for Season 8 to find out who survives by eating whom!

All I can say is Thank God! I hope the people on the show make those six episodes count and fill them of what makes Entourage good instead of what makes it mediocre and flat-out bad at other times. But no movie. Let's end the show within its domain and not needlessly stretch into another.

Then showrunner Doug Ellin will consider turning it into a possible film featuring the existing cast.
That could be interesting...a movie about the movie business...maybe they could do a fake movie (Aquaman 2?) and show parts of that within the Entourage movie? :D
didnt they already make Aquaman 2, but with another actor?

Aquaman 3, then: the Return of Vincent Chase. :rommie:

I forget who the other actor was supposed to have been. Leonardo DiCaprio? Whoever it was, he should be in the movie and it should be a big ole battle over who gets to do the third movie, which will be directed by James Cameron in 3D.

It was Jake Gyllenhal. Basing it off of Jake replacing Toby in Spider-man 3, until Toby eventually came around and did it. I believe the season was around that time.

An Entourage movie would be great! I'm sure they would go all out for that. Would most likely have the most celebrity cameos to appear in one movie, EVER!

Sex and the City movie was a big hit. I don't see why an Entourage movie wouldn't be. I pretty much see Entourage as the male version of Sex and the City anyways.

It was Jake Gyllenhal.
Oh good. Leo would be hard to coax into a cameo for a silly Entourage movie but Gyllenhaal's career is not quite on such an upswing. ;)

Jake and Adrien Grenier look pretty similar, which makes the recasting idea all the more galling. See, we can swap in any number of Hollywood pretty boys!

You never know. Mark Whalberg could probably talk Leo into making a cameo. I forget was The Player a movie about making movies?
