So who's the androgynous looking person between Culber and Stamets? They are right there as a character, but no information as to who they are.

By the very sudden vanishing of the first thread, I really don't think this is meant to be in the wild, yet.

Looks awesome, though!

I think the poster looks silly. And we're clearly getting another "Michael Burnham saves the Federation/universe" story. I'll give the season a try when it comes out, but it isn't something that I'm excited for.

I just want DSC to figure out just what the hell it's supposed to be about. Either that, or just cancel it.

It has. It is about making money via fan service. Which is why we have pictures of Morn running across a battlefield and Burnham soaking in Trill ponds.

I know what you meant. Unfortunately, the fan service seems to be the thing driving the modern incarnations of Trek (and a lot of other things).
If they're this far in the future, I don't think they can use a lot of fan service. The show is moving more towards self-containment.

As far as the trills, they are part of Star trek for decades now. I don't think it's fan service, it's just including part of that universe, anymore than Star Wars continuing to show the occasional Bith species member would be fan service, because they were seen in the first movie. Trills also might be key to figuring out what happened due to their long life-cycles.

As for Morn.. the dude gets around.

I don't see that as fan service if it fits logically into the story (and I imagine the Trill sequence will fill in for Burnham some of the past 900 years), I see it as using the rich lore of Trek.

I agree. I will admit, there has been a lot of fan service in Discovery and some of it has been eye-rolling. But pushing the show out from the established continuity gives the show a chance to breathe. I don't have a problem with Morn (or someone who looks just like him) running around or a visit to Trill, if like King Daniel suggests, it makes sense. But I can't see as many references going forward. Guess we'll see!

Apologies, due to a copyright claim/cease and desist received by the board, I'm having to stamp on this image for now.

I'm sure you can find it.... elsewhere, if you wanted.
