S.H.I.E.L.D. is back, can U.N.C.L.E. be far behind?

So we've got a Agents of SHIELD show on the air, and it will be heading to a season 2. My gut tells me that Warner Bros. will want to bring back The Man From U.N.C.L.E. because of the success of SHIELD (and SHIELD was based on UNCLE, too.) Have I got it right, or am I just guessing as usual? Let me know.

Well if the UNCLE movie is a hit, they'll probably want it to be a franchise and not have to compete against a "free" TV show of the same name.

Actually there's already a Man from UNCLE feature film being made with Henry Cavill as Solo and Armie Hammer as Kuryakin, directed by Guy Ritchie of the Sherlock Holmes films. It's due out next January. So I think Warner Bros. and MGM are hoping to make it work as a big-screen franchise, maybe a cross between the Ritchie Holmes films and MGM's James Bond series. I doubt they'd want to have a competing TV revival at the same time.

Not yet, apparently. It's still 9 months away -- is that too early for a trailer? I guess it depends on the film.

You're right, I misread (or mis-skimmed) the Wiki article. The film is entirely a Warner Bros. production.
