Ryan Reynolds IS Green Lantern

Heath was one of the few "real" authentic talents in Hollywood. When I look at Ryan Reynolds, I see a metrosexual or an urban hunk. Worse, I even see Van Wilder. :borg: Actors like Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale have at least shown their depths in a variety of roles.
 
Well, Hal Jordan is a paedophile, so maybe it won't appear so bad if his part is being portrayed by an actor that can pass for 14?

Dakota Fanning as Arisia? NO, Elle? Yeah her younger sister Elle Fanning, she was great in Lost Room, that sits about right on the disgustometer. Hal Jordan getting busy with a nine year old. Do they have an even younger sister?

Hey, I didn't write the comics where this happened, I just get pissed when they try to big brother what happened so the hero is remade righteous and nobel all over again no matter what he does.

The scuttlebutt is that Rose Byrne is up for the part and that she's Martin Campbell's first choice. Of course the scuttlebutt can turn out to be wrong, but I can certainly see her in the part.

She'd be perfect. I hope that work on her TV show Damages won't get in the way.
 
Rose Bryne? Hope she looks good as a blonde. I also believe she was a runner-up for Vesper in Casino Royale. I think if they're escewing young then Rachel McAdams would be a good choice.

Ben Kingsley or David Strathairn (The Bourne Ultimatum) would also be good choices for Sinestro in my opinion. What about for Hector Hammond, since he plays a big role in the script?

Is Michael Clark Duncan for Kilowog already a cliché choice?

McAdams would also be perfect. Carol Ferris runs an aircraft company, so she she shouldn't be played by a twentysomething babe who looks like she's still in college.
 
You need an actress who can play a smart, assertive woman to play Carol, and you also need someone who would make a good Star Sapphire in case they go that route in a potential sequel. Either Rose Byrne or Rachel McAdams would fit the bill.
 
I liked in him in Tropical heat.

Though it took me half an hour to recognise him through the fat suit and bald cap.

Awful, awful remake of the Three Amigos by the way.
