Ryan Murphy's "American Horror Story" Moving Forward

This reminds kind of reminds me of the Silent Hill games for some reason.
I do.
But my tastes are quite catholic. Between the surfer boy, Zach Quinto and Dylan McDermott, this is shaping up to be a great cast.Okay, I have something weird to report. Sometimes I have dreams about TV shows (Stargate SG-1 being the most frequent for reasons I cannot fathom) but I think I had a dream about American Horror Story, even though it hasn't even started.
All I remember is noticing that the actress who plays the nosy, gossipy neighbor was played by some actress other than Jessica Lange. She was skinnier and not as pretty, kind of a hillybilly looking Holly Hunter type. I remember thinking, "I wish they hadn't recast the role because Jessica Lange would have been so much better."
EDIT: eonline article, reiterates the warning that this show is "very scary." Hype or reality? eonline is known for being excitable, but this sounds fairly disturbing:

that is a messed up state ment. if You see a baby in parts omfg not creepy. this is going to be horror not young adult bull $#!t. even though I do like the vampire diaries. all so for those who do not have a DVR this show will be on HULU. yes!!!!

Yup. This is going to be nothing like a CW show, so anyone who thought that, be warned. I'm expecting (hoping for) something more along the lines of Dexter in terms of being somewhat gory and off-the-charts disturbing.
