I'm sorry, Captaindemotion. I must have misread your post. And I totally agree with you -- I think someone like Boreanaz or Fillion could really nail the role of Hal Jordan. I wish they were in consideration (heck, who knows, maybe they are).

Somehow the more I think about it the more I get more of a Barry Allen vibe from Gosling than Hal Jordan. Since the late Paul Newman was the visual inspiration for Jordan, a similar modern actor would seem to fit the bill. But then, who is like Paul Newman? In lieu of someone visually similar I'd say at least someone with some decent acting chops. I think Boreanaz or Fillion are good fits but I guess I could live with Gosling.
