Spoilers Russell T. Davies Returns to Doctor Who as New Showrunner

One thing I find amusing and disturbing at the same time is casting older actors like late 20s early 30s as teenagers,
That's been the trend for decades to avoid child labor laws. Gabrielle Carteris played a teenager when she was 30 at the beginning of Beverly Hills 90210.

The biggest weirdness is that teenagers are given unfair standards that they feel compelled to follow but are impossible to meet.

I don’t hope or think he will be, but that answer doesn’t answer anything anyway.
Has he finished?
Yeah, shows not in production, he’s done his bit, golden sparkles etc.
But the ending left it all up in the air anyway.
If he did come back, he wouldn’t be the ‘next Doctor Who’ anyway, so if they pull up with the money…

Is Billie the Doctor?
Well, so far from the chin up maybe.

It’s all a mess, and there’s no answers offscreen or on until they work out if there’s even going to be anymore.

I have heard of exactly zero of the panelists for that SDCC panel: Sandro Monetti, with River Alexandra Song, Karen Glover, Sarah Lynn Dawson, Cody Shoberg, Myriam Lp, and Kristi Schoeman.
Never heard of any of them either. Weird that SDCC is doing such a large panel of people on that topic when none of them have any actual insight on the topic. How is it going to be any different from speculative threads at message board like this one?

Speaking of people no one's heard of, was there even any explanation for that random day during the S2 broadcast when a bunch of *shudder* influencers dropped photos of themselves on the TARDIS set?

Rando people who aren’t even big enough Who Tubers to end up in my recommended feed?
At least one of whom changed their name?

Nice work if you can get it, but honestly, unless one of them is the tea boy at Bad Wolf, we’d be better off using an I Ching and a copy of the Discontinuity Guide to divine the future.

Or stare into a gas stove, sisterhood style.

Going to say they probably have better hair and more make-up on. Especially as it’s not Friday yet.

That's really odd. Its like holding an international world forum about the wars in the middle east and how to solve them, and to talk about them, here's some folks from the apartment block of the block who drove Tucker Carlson to his studio one day, when he interviews Ted Cruz that one time.

He's also pals with Jon Stewart's cousin's friend's neighbor's second cat owner. In case there was a curio.

I got it all figured out. I's all clever misdirection. The panel starts off with a bunch of apparent nobodies droning on about where they thing the future of the franchise is headed, and then about halfway through, Paul McGann suddenly walks up on stage and announced his return to Doctor Who in four specials that will air throughout 2026, in which though he plays the Eighth Doctor these specials will also somehow set up for the new Doctor officially taking over the role in 2027.

The sad part is, this post is probably more interesting than the panel itself actually will be.

So, I googled, and at first I assumed it was poor copy pasta courtesy of a report talking about it, like so:

“Get your questions together and debate whether or not Disney+ will renew the 2-year contract? Who is Mrs Flood? And what’s all that bigeneration about?

The event will be held at the Marriot Marquis San Diego Marina from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday, July 26th. An hour before the panel, there will be a fan meet-up / photo-op at the hotel.

“This is the most Doctor Who activity ever seen at Comic-Con International and a sign of how our favourite show continues to soar here in the States,” said panel host Sandro Monetti.

It is sure to be a great event.”

But then, it turns out that was announcing last years fan panel.
Not entirely sure why people would want a photo op, and the host is billed as having appeared on TV twice. Likely talking about Who as some kind of representative of the ‘We’.

Are we even sure that *is* a thing for this year?
Even more shoddy if so.
