Running and Jumping

When watching XI again last night (finally saw the Tribble) I got to wondering. Are there turbo-lifts on that Narada ship? Or does one really have to run and jump to different levels to get around. This was the first time I payed real attention to the interior of that ship, and I liked it. I never cared for the Bird or Prey set, seemed to Federation to me. The Narada ship actually comes off as something from another world.

I think there should be a book, a CANON book, that explains what the hell Nero was doing for those twenty-five years inbetween destroying the Kelvin and catching spock later on. I mean, were they just traveling around seeing the sights while....ta da...Running and Jumping around the Narada? And where were the Romulan women??? Maybe they kidnapped women and had their way with them (mmmmm...more book fodder).

They blew up insignificant planets. Like Fereginar and Cardassia. No one really noticed...

They should have blown up the world the GUARDIAN OF FOREVER (TM and all Rights reserved for Harlan Ellison. The Guardian of Forever is used solely for the conversation of this thread and no intent to gain any money from said conversation is intended by the writer of this response, and the OP, who are one and the same.) is on so as to end this lawsuit once and for all!!

All kidding aside? I liked Fereginar. Had really good laws, well before Rom got there, for women...really good laws!!!

Yeah, I forgot about the naked women, but I never want to see a naked Ferengi woman, yuck!

In terms of running and jumping - I've only seen the movie once so far - I can only remember them jumping down. Maybe that's why the ship is so big - they only jump down. Then again, it would be comical to show them going "Shit, wrong level" and then awkwardly clamber back up, red...I mean green-faced. (almost let my canon slip..)

In my mind the reason he didn't do much in those 25 years is because his ship was severely crippled beyond reasonable repair when it got rammed by the Kelvin. The Nerada basically limped its way into a region of space known to be "out of the way" so they wouldn't be disturbed as they attempted to fix the ship. The damage was so extensive and they were basically without resources and a means to fix the ship that they spent most of their time actually trying to mend it. I mean you've got to understand they had no repair yard they could go to, no resources, most probably limited knowledge on how to actually fix a ship as damaged as it was and so spent years getting it back to full potential.
Once they did finally fix the ship they spent their time researching trying to find out where Spock was.

Oh and as for their jumping from level to level I would imagine there are in fact ladders located around the place but basically when they're in a hurry they just jump from level to level and don't bother with them.

Maybe they do only jump down the level. And the lone elevator they have only goes up. It would mean one thing; no out of shape officers like STAR FLEET is known to have.

Nero and the Kelvin-damaged Narada were captured by the Klingons and dumped on a prison planet for 25 years. And i think we can even stretch a point and call it canon even though Abrams cut those scenes for pacing/time, because we do see a tiny scrap of it in the mind meld.

Are we sure? That means the Klingons had the Narada all that time? How did Nero get his ship back? Is this how it really went? Or were Nero and ships captives of the Klingons in the future and then escaped and then found about Romulas's destruction and then came back...

Nero was a prisoner of the Klingon Empire from the moment that the Narada went back in time basically from what I recall reading. They couldn't repair in time and a Klingon Fleet came and took him prisoner. The commotion on Rura Penthe was Nero and his personnel fighting to get the Narada back from an impound lot on the asteroid and escape.
