Why don't you _ _ _ _ off? If I stated my sources, people could be fired. Simple as that. Now get out of my thread if you don't have anything that will confirm or deny this.

Information has a way of flowing from one ear to another in the right circles.
This is a serious thread. It is not a joke.
No, no mockery implied, I was just curious about the provenance of the rumor (and, for that matter, the details; is the film being shot digitally, or is this an IMAX production? Details, man!).

Regardless of the aspect ratio, I most certainly hope there is no "pan and scan" release of this film in any form of media. "Pan and scan" ranks as the second most vile atrocity to be perpetrated on films (the first is the cropping done to films before the invention of the pan and scan device). If the broadcast networks had simply shown films in letterbox from the get go, NO ONE would have cared about the 'black bars' and people would have seen the movie as it was intended to be seen. It was my fervent hope with advent of DVD that "pan and scan" would die a deserved death, but, sadly, it did not. I've not heard of a 'pan and scan' hi-def (HD DVD/Blu-Ray or broadcast HD) and I certainly hope never to encounter such an abomination. Similarly, I don't want to see classic "Academy ratio" films displayed in some sort of "stretch" format just to "fill the screen".
(rant over)
