With the exception of the New York 2 parter its such a tight contest imo. I went with The Stolen Earth/Journey's End due to Stolen Earth mainly, which is a superb episode of TV. However looking back Dalek is probably the strongest episode for The Dalek race because its an actual character episode and not just about an army of Daleks killing.

"Pig Men" / "No, Seriously, Fucking Pig Men Part II" and "The Stolen Earth" / "Donna's Dance Party" can both go fuck right off, though, outside of Julian Bleach's fantastic Davros.

ROFL. If it hadn't been for the Pig Men, Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks may have been some semblance of good.

I voted for "Dalek" because it was just so good to have them back. But "Doomsday" was pretty damn good, not really for the Dalek parts but for the goodbye scene with Rose and the Doctor, and also for the very first time we saw Donna.

Actually I thought it was really spooky until the moment I realised it was Catherine Tate  All I sqw was this almost ethereal ghostly shape...and then she opened her gob!

If only I'd known ;)

"Dalek" ftw, with "PotW", and "Doomsday" a close second. Not that I didn't enjoy the others, but the whole "And then a gajillion daleks suddenly appear!" thing just got old after that.

The thing that really weirds me out is that in "Dalek" the Dalek has to turn his head back around the other way when the Doctor walks behind him, like a human would, but in "Doomsday," one of the Daleks tracks the Doctor the whole way in a similar situation, spinning his head all the way around without stopping.

Sorry to bump this up, but I was watched "Dalek" again last night. The reason why it couldn't turn its head all the way was there were two bloody great bundles of cables jacked into its sides, which blocked the eyestalk. Later in the ep, it spins freely.

That's weird. I could've sworn someone behind the scenes said it was to make the Dalek seem more like a living thing and less like a prop by limiting it's range of motion. Now that I think about it, though, it might've been someone whining on the internet about Doomsday.
