Rory (spoiler for s6)

So how many times has Rory died so far? I counted:

- turned to dust in Amy's Choice
- wiped from time in Cold Blood
- shot by Canton in Day of the Moon
- died of old age in The Doctor's Wife

Any more I missed?

I hope this was the last time we see him die.

he didn't die in DOTM, TCOTBS or TDW though. sure as shit he didn't die in TDW, it was all in Amy's head. likewise AC.

Yeah only one, ok maybe two, of those deaths were actual deaths, several of them were only in Amy's head, and one was just complete fabrication to begin with.

And has he actually died that many more times than Amy?

Amy died in Amy's Choice, died in the Pandorica Opens, again shot by Canton in The Day of the Moon.

Neither Amy nor Rory were shot for real by Canton - remember they were faking it to fool everyone (other agents and the Silence) watching.

Yeah I know, both Captcalhoun kind of made that point, I was just pointing out that if people were calling that a 'death' for Rory then they should be counting it as a death for Amy as wel.

If fact, if you think about it Rory's function on the show is to basically be a Damsel In Distress. (IIRC he gets kidnapped and has to be rescued by Amy in two out of the three recently released novels.)

Ironic you should bring that up in this thread, since Daniel Jackson also had a tendency to die alot.

The Rory is dead drinking game is less inebriating than the Jon Pertwee drinking game: take a sip every time he yells "Ai!" and a shot every time he changes his costume. It's more on par with the early Tom Baker version: take a shot every time Tom Baker struggles with his scarf.

I approve of the political speech drinking game.
