Chattaway composed a distinct leitmotif for Species 8472 that he used in all their appearances (its main feature is a phrase of four descending notes). And David Bell composed a 7-note leitmotif for the Hirogen in "The Killing Game," although it was diluted as a leitmotif when he began using it or variants of it in virtually every VGR score he did.
