I recognized her right away. But wanted to see confirmation it was the same actress to be sure.

It was disappointing her role in ROTS was almost completely cut. But she seemed perfectly cast. I am glad Disney is not needlessly ignoring the Prequels. First Ewan's brief vocal cameo in The Force Awakens and now this. I would love it if Jimmy Smits appears as Bail Organa in this too.

How are Obi Wan's and Mon Mothma's inclusion "not needlessly ignoring the Prequels"? They were both in ANH. Anyway, I don't think anyone has argued that the prequels are being ignored (unless you mean mention of midichlorians, in which case I fully support that omission!).

TPTB could have disregarded the prequels altogether and cast completely different people in the roles, but they didn't. A decade later, and they took the care and effort to get the same actors.

And Mon Mothma was in ROTJ, not ANH.
