Rogue One (2016) [SW Anthology Series)

I don't think Disney had to make a connection to the Skywalkers at all. Star Wars is one of the few brands out there that sells itself.

But it makes sense that Darth Vader would have some kind of connection to this story, since he's actively chasing down the recipient of the plans transmitted by Rogue One at the beginning of ANH.

Plus he's the one that told Tarkin's little council of evil meeting that the Rebels who stole the plans had been dealt with, which means he would have to be around enough to know that.

The article on StarWars.com says it is canon.
You say that like it'll stop them, even for a moment. ;)

What I found interesting was the male pilot being voiced by Witwer and Filloni lending a hand with dialogue direction. Reminds me just how tight knit a company it is.

I hope Witwer makes it into one of the live action movies at some point. He's a huge Star Wars fan and he's already done a ton of voice work for the shows and video games. (Can't remember if he also did mocap for The Force Unleashed, I want to say he did.)

^Yup.

I'd be more interested to see if they let him have a go behind the camera, either as a writer or a director on something. From what I've seen of him in various interviews, Q&As and commentaries he clearly has a very deep knowledge of the lore and a very firm grasp on storytelling and character motivation (even for an actor.)

And yet he would never claim to be an expert. He often credits long discussions with Filioni and Lucas in building upon different facets of the lore. I would love to see him be able to take his passion for the franchise to the big screen. I know he does lots of voice work for Lucasfilm, so that might come soon :)

Got my tickets last night for 0005 on the 15th......read Catalyst. I am now ready. ;-)

Yeah those toggles and buttons are way too bright, they used to be a more subtle shade of grey plastic.

Ugh. Disney ruins EVERYTHING!

Hehehe, well, thankfully I have no issues with a few differences in the outfit. :) But I ment more along where the cape attaches to the neck. I can't really put my finger on it....

In A New Hope he had a little chain in the front.

In ROTJ he has little metal clips

In ESB the attachment point is hidden somewhere beneath his helmet.

No chain at the neck. Cape opening in front is narrower and straighter whereas the OT version had a curve leading up to the closure at the neck. Chest of the actor seems to be somewhat fuller and shoulders a bit broader.

THAT'S IT!!! Thank you! I just googled some pictures, should have done that first. It's really so obvious. Stupid me... :D

It is probably just the actor in the suit does not have quite the same build as David Prowse and doesn't fill it out as much. The shoulders and chest aren't as full so the cape covers a tad more than it use to.

Actually, in some of the ESB scenes, the cape closure point, and shoulder coverage are identical to that picture.

GOD, WHY THE HELL AM I TALKING ABOUT THIS?!!?!? What have you people done to me?

He grabbed another cape to hunt down Leia. The first one got a little too dirty slaughtering the Rebels of Rogue One to be presentable to a Galactic Senator.
