Their stories are each a heck of a lot more interesting than Roddenberry's

Roddenberry has a very interesting life story. A perfect arc as well. Hero to surprise tv legend. The lean years of failure but then Redemption at the end with TNG but also facing a price for all the hard living of his youth.
