Roccat Sova

Anyone given this a try? I ordered one a couple days ago (along with a mionix castor) now that it's available in Canada, won't be here until end of next week. Replacing my logitech home theatre keyboard and trackball that is less than optimal for gaming.

TBH IMO when it comes to a keyboard/mouse input situation, anything other than sitting up in a chair, on a dedicated PC desk is less than optimal for gaming, but you do you, OP - I'm sure the Sova lapboard still beats the alternative

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My rig doubles as my home theatre PC - it has always been hooked up in my living allowing me to game on a 50" 4k TV with 5.1 surround sound on a lazyboy reclining couch.

I don't play online (I game to decrease stress, not increase it ;) ) so when I say gaming with the htpc Kb and trackball is less than optimal I mean I'd like an actual keyboard and mouse that works for living room gaming (the trackball is fantastic for day to day use but is horrible for aiming and sweat makes it unusable for any gaming after long enough), not that I'm hoping it will be an optimal set up for competitive online shootings.

Well, I guess no one is interested but just in case....

I've had it for a week now, along with a mionix Castor mouse. I played the second half of Spec Ops The Line (having started it with my old set up, the frustration of which was to great to complete) and am halfway through Bioshock Remastered.

I'm really liking it. I got the mechanical version and it is great to use. I haven't figured out many of the settings yet, although you can personalize what keys are illuminated at what brightness, although right now I'm keeping the whole board lit. The mouse pad is a large, they could have trimmed the entire thing a bit, and cable management is poor, but once it's on your lap it works fine. If you game on your couch it makes a huge difference.
