ROBOCOP remake finds its director and star

I'll wait for a trailer, but I'm a bit underwhelmed at the moment.

Is it possible to be underwhelmed when all we have to go on is a title, a director, a writer and a few casting announcements? There's basically nothing of substance from which to make any sort of judgment.

I just hope they don't make the costume TOO sleek and futuristic. More than anything, Robo needs to look big and intimidating and robotic, both to be a credible threat to the crime world and to distance himself as much as possible from his humanity.

I hope I'm wrong, but I have a feeling what they come up with is just going to make him look like a guy wearing cool superhero armor or something.

I never thought I'd see the day when Gary Oldman plays what is apparently a good guy role, while Hugh Laurie takes villain duties!

All I know is if Robocop suddenly starts flying in this remake, I'll be walking out of the theater.

I still have horrible memories of Robocop 3! :(

Ugh, not sure what was worse. The flying, or him getting his arm chopped off by a robot ninja.
