That might work better if it were Sarek, who has likely met old Spock and could know about the prime universe. His motivation could be the loss of his wife and his world. He truly believes he's creating a better world and that it's completely logical. This would give Spock even more conflict given his relationship with his father.

the new trilogy could have needed more Sarek indeed. I wish we saw more of him or even a glimpse of new Vulcan.

I didn't steal anything. They still have their copies, that they can still sell to literally an infinite number of people. Is it stealing if I watch it on Netflix with a friend? Or go to their house to watch a DVD for free? Or watch it on cable at someone's house? GTFO. If I torrent something that was on TV public broadcast, is that stealing? If I could DVR or Record something and torrent it instead, is that stealing? That's pretty fucking shitty that you feel like judging me, and are attempting to make ME feel shitty over something I feel not an ounce of remorse for that hurt absolutely no one. I have very little spendable money outside of business bills, and I am not wasting it on garbage. Without a draw like Shatner, they would not be getting my money either way. Honestly? I haven't even watched more then a few minutes of the torrented file yet, because that is how little I care about JJ Trek. No, I do not feel guilty for archiving television. Lol.

This is really the wrong forum for that discussion, and if it's specifically about torrenting Star Trek, this is probably the whole wrong BBS.

Now, since you haven't gone into any specific detail concerning how and where, I'll let this advisory suffice, but seriously: CBS and Paramount know who and where we are, and if there's material posted here which displeases them in any way, they will not hesitate to let us know about that. And, as you can surely understand, we would prefer not to receive such notices at any time.

So: if you feel you must allude to torrenting Star Trek (or to any means of obtaining copies of someone's intellectual property through legally dodgy avenues or which does not involve someone actually paying for it,) it's probably a good idea to do so somewhere other than TrekBBS.

...Can we not keep one thread in this forum civil enough that it won't be locked by moderators?
