Last August Robert has been (together with Robert Picardo) at the wonderful convention "Trek- Gate to your star.

In his great panel he told the fans that he`s married and has a sweet daughter.
The fans were impressed - Robert looked great and was very entertaining and always very nice to the fans.

Can't remember. I did a search and came across that, but nothing about the Mrs' or girl's name. Definitely no pic.

I cannot imagine having a kid at my age (48)! Having one at 57! Brave or foolish.

But here's wishing health and happiness to them!


Eta: answers.com. Someone posted that RB mentioned in August that he was married and his girl was 8 months old. Posts on that site raise that he may have been married for a few years now.

While this is obviously his personal life, I still like to hear news (I guess it could be considered gossip) about celebrities.

She's his own daughter, born in Germany in December 2010 and her name is Marlena.

His wife is German.

If you had the opportunity to watch Robert the way he talked about his little daughter, you would have realized how much he adores her. He's such a proud and loving father!

This is definitely no matter of age.
Just my 2 cents...

Don't get me wrong! I'm very happy for him and his family.

My comment about age was that it's not easy being a new parent, particularly so when, well, not so young anymore. I can't imagine doing it, and I'm "only" 48! And I would have LOVED to see him gush over her. It must've been awfully sweet.

I totally agree!!

Robert was just looking great and healthy.
However, what even counted much more (at least for me) was him being really stuffed with beastly fun and that he let all of us participate in his way of enjoying that event quite a lot.

Thanks to him for that!!!

In at least one Syfy movie he's done since Voyager bowed, Robert looked pretty heavy. However, time can change all things...

And kudos to spawning! It's said that actors often sacrifice starting family for their career (which is especially true of women), and if Robert had been doing so, I'm happy he's caught up to one of life's greater rewards.

I love Bob Picardo too ^_^ although not in the creepy sort of way that i know some people do. he was in alot of stuff i watched as a kid and i never ever realized it until i was a teenager. I get to see him in February at my first ever Con. I really have no idea what people do at a convention except watch panels but... eh i guess i'll figure it out.
