River Song and Captain Jack

RoJoHen

Awesome
Admiral
I would absolutely love to see an episode with these two together. When we first meet River, she has one of those guns that cuts holes in walls, very much like the one Jack uses (perhaps the exact same gun?). Personally, I think these two would be hilarious in an episode together. And really, what is John Barrowman doing these days?

And, as of the "Pandorica Opens," she has a vortex manipulator taken off the wrist of "a handsome Time Agent."

Didn't she say it was off a "handsome time agent [she'd] killed? Or was that the fat blue guy she bought it from in "A Good Man Goes To War" ?

Dorium said he acquired his vortex manipulator (which he sold to River) off the wrist of a handsome Time Agent. There's no indication the Time Agent was killed, but apparentally his arm was amputated, since when Dorium looked in the box, he shoved it back at his lacky and reminded him "I said off the wrist."

But we aren't really thinking Jack was this Time Agent, are we? There could very well be other male Time Agents considered to be handsome. Just tossing that thought out there.

^Although, that could be what happened to one of Jack's bodyparts on the way to his mutation into the Face of Boe.

But, yeah, we need more Captain Jack on the series. Any Jack appearance with the 11th Doctor would be great. Adding River Song to the mix would just make it Christmas.

Could just as well be Scrawny...er....I mean the James Marsters' character

It could very well have been removed from Jack's dead arm. It's like he stays dead, after all. He could have grown back to life and gone, "Who the hell stole my time bracelet?!"

I would love to see Captain Jack come back for an episode or two with the 11th Doctor but it doesn't seem like Moffat is interested in bringing back any of the characters from the RTD era. I was really disappointed he wasn't in A Good Man Goes to War, it seems like he would of been a perfect fit for that episode.

They wanted to bring back Captain Jack for "A Good Man Goes to War" but John Barrowman was too busy. In fact, I believe that's largely the reason why they haven't brought him back yet.

John has stated that he'd love to return to "Doctor Who" and has stated that it's up to the Moff (and probably John's own schedule as mentioned above). I wouldn't be surprised if he showed up in the 50th Anniversary special. I'd love to see him interact with Matt.

You fools, if Jack and River ever met the resulting flirtation would create a cataclysmic explosion that would tear reality in half...and that's just after Jack said hello...

:)

I'd love to see Jack, River and Matt on screen together!

He's still presenting Tonight's The Night on BBC1 and I think he's been doing some concerts lately.

Oh and he was in Jamies Italian in Covent Garden recently with boyfriend and sister. I had a mate of mine with me who adores him and she nearly orgasamed on the spot!

Which is a shame, because I'd love to see them when they really get going about the Doctor. I think Jack is the only one who would really appreciate River's views on the Doctor.

Part of why he's been so busy lately has been because Barrowman was cast in Guilded Lillies, a pilot for ABC Studios. That pilot however didn't get picked up, so there's hope for us yet!

It would have to be a two parter.

Its particularly ironic we haven't seen Jack, since Moffat is the one who created him in the first place (though i'm sure there was some input from Russell). Maybe we'd even get lucky and he'd returned him to his original roguish self.

Moffat didn't create Jack. He was just the writer who penned the episode of Doctor Who in which Jack was introduced.

^^Indeed, Jack is RTD's creation, Moffat just happened to write the episode which introduced him. Although, Jack having two years worth of his memory missing was actually Moffat's idea. It's because of this it's never been explained what went on in those years, RTD felt that it was Moffat's responsibility to tell that story, and Moffat hasn't written anything with Jack since The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances.

Moffat has expressed interest in bringing Jack back and Barrowman has expressed interest in returning to Doctor Who, the problem is scheduling. As mentioned above, Jack was meant to be in A Good Man Goes to War but couldn't do it because Miracle Day was filming at the same time.
