Best known as Captain Spaulding in several Rob Zombie Horror films, but he's really done a fucking shitload of Film & TV work.

CBR| Horror Icon Sid Haig Has Died At Age 80

Rest in peace Mr. Haig.

I've been re-watching Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Sid was in the last episode of the first season and the first episode of the second as different characters.

Really good and memorable character actor. Always had a *presence* on screen, regardless of show or how much or little spoken dialogue he had.

He will be missed. There's hardly a genre he did not work in over the course of his long career.

Here's just three of his memorable roles:

LEFT: King Tut's henchman Royal Apothecary from Batman's second season episodes, "The Spell of Tut" and "Tut's Case is Shut" (1966).
MIDDLE: Haig as the less than stable NCH in THX-1138 (1971), clearly, the debut movie of one George Lucas.
RIGHT: Haig as recurring villain Dragos, in Filmation's live action sci-fi series, Jason of Star Command (1978-79).

Pretty much in a universe of roles that any age range might have come across during his career.
