RIP Richard Anderson (6 Million Dollar Man/Bionic Woman)

I'll always remember him as The Night Strangler in the second Kolchak tv-movie, lurking in Underground Seattle.

^^ And the ill-fated Quinn in Forbidden Planet.

He had a really sweet gig as Oscar Goldman, though. A supporting role on two TV shows at the same time, working with both Lee Majors and Lindsey Wagner. I think, if memory serves, he was instrumental in bringing those reunion movies to life.

RIP, Richard Anderson. The best government contact/best friend a hero ever had.

I too would have guessed he passed on a long time ago.

Oscar was a pivotal character on those two TV shows. I certainly remember him well as Oscar Goldman.

R.I.P.

He was all over '60s TV in guest roles. Did six different roles on The Rifleman alone. And just this week I watched the series finale of The Fugitive on the 50th anniversary of its viewership record-breaking original airdate. He was evidently the third and final actor to play Kimble's brother-in-law.

Richard also did the opening voice-over for Kung-Fu: The Legend Continues, in the early 90s, and also appeared as the SWAT commander on that show, I think twice.

But I too, will always remember him as Oscar Goldman. He was indeed the linchpin for those two shows.

He was also in a fantastic TV movie called Murder by Natural Causes.

But yes, Oscar Goldman...RIP

The proto-Scotty! So many great TV appearances, sorry he's gone. I guess Earl Holliman is the last surviving "name" actor of Forbidden Planet.

I enjoyed him in Seven Days in May, too.

Oh yeah, what a cast that was!

Yeah I was a little surprised when I saw him in that, because the brother-in-law was already established and Anderson had been in several Fugitives already. Twice in one season even, IIRC.

Sad to hear of his death, he was a good character actor, and was the prototype spaceship engineer, as well as the most mild-mannered spyboss an intelligence agent could have.

A big salute to you, sir.
