Wow, talk about life imitating art. I didn't watch the West Wing but I knew her character through Desperate Housewives. You know it occurred to me that she didn't look well as the series ended but I had no idea she really was suffering from lung cancer. I thought it was just her character arc for that show.

They must have decided to make it part of the arc.
