Sad news, though not entirely unexpected. RIP.
Yeah, she's been in bad shape for a while now.
Still, RIP. Sad year for comedy.

There seems to be an unusually large number of celebrity deaths this year. I never followed Joan Rivers, to be honest, but I hear that her daughter was very close to her and I hope she gets through it, alright.
And to think she was just fine last week and went in for a routine procedure.

Exactly. I never cared for her brand of humor, but still a loss for the entertainment world and her family.
That's certainly not a saying that Joan herself ascribed to.

Her style of comedy certainly wasn't for everyone, she was very, very, edgy and was being funny by saying the absolute most wrong thing possible. Still, she had her funny moments and you cannot deny the accomplishments she made as a woman working in comedy during the eras she did and was successful at it.
Not my style of humor but she did have her funny moments for me.
