She passed away? She was in very good health and she was only 70. Most healthy folks live longer in this day and age. This is surprising. Perhaps she had a health condition no one knew about. Sad for Hal Holbrook. He'll be lost without her. They were married for a long time.

I was lucky enough to meet Ms. Carter, and she could not have been a nicer person. Sweet, warm, a beautiful person inside and out.

I loved both of those scenes and another one I loved was when she told off the magazine reporter for printing that people in Georgia eat DIRT.
