He was a hero of mine too, from that terrific show Kung Fu, and I enjoyed his other roles, such as in the reprised Kung Fu: the Legend Continues series. His family must be shocked, so may they find comfort. But he was more than an actor. He influenced people's lives in unknowable ways. He certainly influenced my life, for the better. The world was better for having known him.

His absence is deafening. Rest in peace, Mr Carradine.
