My mom loved the guy, so I guess she'll be happy that he's in the house....

Truth be told, I couldn't stand any of Burt's movies. I only saw bits and pieces and never paid money o see one. Take that back, I think I paid to see Semi Tough. Anyway, that redneck, good ole boy thing was a complete turn off to me.

But I really enjoyed him guest hosting the Tonight Show for Johnny. Burt was the only guest host who came even close to being as entertaining as Johnny after the monologue. I've read that Burt was the show's producers first choice to replace Johnny permanently if he'd left the show back in the 70's.

Saw something pretty cool today. A car that looks like the Smokey and the Bandit car and it said Burt 2 on the back. Thought it was a nice tribute to Burt .
