RIP, Brittany Murphy

The Fatman

TMZ is reporting that King of the Hill, 8 Mile, and Clueless star Brittany Murphy died of Cardiac arrest this morning in her home.

No mainstream outlets (Reuters, AP, CNN, etc...) are reporting this yet, but TMZ is usually pretty reliable. Fingers crossed this is them jumping the gun or biting on a hoax, but...

If true, my thoughts and prayers go out to her family. 2009 is turning out to be a terrible year to be a celebrity...

I can't believe this, even though I didn't follow her career really I find this very sad. She was so young and it's very shocking.

At the minute, TMZ and Wikipedia seem to be the only ones running the story, but after Jacko, that carries more clout than it might have a year ago. Hope it's wrong, but if not, very sad.

Yes, TMZ have been very much on the ball, as this year has proven only too well. :(

RIP Brittany. I loved her as Luanne on King of the Hill. 32 is just so young to die from something like this.

Never really found her film work especially compelling, but she was great as Luanne on King of the Hill. Extremely sad, especially given how young she was.

Too young and too sad.

Speculation is started all over the place....eating disorder, her hubby...have all been suggested on daughter's fav sites

A young talent is gone, RIP

Hug your family and friends.

No way! 32!?!?!? How can your heart just turn on you like that at freakin' 32!?!?!?!

Man life's a bitch! :scream:

She's been suspected of having an eating disorder for years.

32...geez. Shocked when I heard it. Very, very sad news.

I remember her best as the voice of Luanne on King of the Hill.

RIP

Its on wikipedia. Very sad.

Never take Wikipedia's word on anything like this unless they cite a proper source. Too many rumors show up there for it to be used as any sort of official confirmation.

In fact my first hope was that it was just a hoax someone cooked up. Sadly this time it's true. I'm not a fan but I know the name and I remember her in 8 Mile. This one's a shocker.
