The Boys is based on a comic book (full disclosure: I have not read it), so I think, as with the comic, it's supposed to take a swipe at both Marvel and DC.

I watched a few trailers, know of the comic so I thought maybe the comic itself is taking pot shots at both Marvel and DC then you see that guy in blue and he's clearly taking the piss out of Captain America but is a dickbag.

Maybe that's just because, in the movies of late, Captain America has been doing a much better job than Superman of giving us that patriotic, goody-two-shoes hero type.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Supernatural

They each spend the first half of their show fighting creatures they know they need to take out, but don't recognize. At the end of Act Two the two groups meet. They spend Act Three in one long "But that's our job!", and finally finish each show with their half of taking out the big bad. All from the perspective of their respective shows, and universes.

Indiana Jones and Hellboy. It would work.

DuckTales/Doctor Who. I have an outline for this in my files.

I like this one too. They'd fit nicely together after some introductions of each team to each other.

Indy and Hellboy now that would be fun.

I often feel like Supernatural's prolonged run was partly the WB's way of admitting that they made a mistake when they canceled Angel.

    Frasier / Downton Abbey
Frasier and Niles go back in time to D.A. "Niles...we've come home."
But eventually, they're guilted by missing their Dad and Daphne, so they return to the future.

I like that. Those two would find a way to make good in the past and have many relationships

That would be a classic Frasier twist.

^ Exactly! :D They trace their lineage using self-tests popular these days, which leads them to them taking a trip to Downton Abbey, only to realize that they're related to the butler.

"My God, Niles! Do you know what this means? It means our ancestors brought the wine bottles up from the cellar!"

Strangely I can picture this all as an actual episode.
