Rick Perry is BATMAN/Harrison Ford

Anybody wants Ron Paul to win? I'm hoping that he does. The debt just keep adding up and no one seems to care. :vulcan:

The most dystopian part of that ad is the idea that presidential elections can be decided by slick advertising.

No. I'd prefer a president who won't veto an important spending bill because the contents aren't explicitly covered in a 224-year-old document that couldn't foretell all our future needs, and one who understands that the Constitution was meant to be flexible and not set in stone for that very reason.

He has some occasional good ideas, but it's not because of any wise decision making on his part, IMO, it's because he has one knee-jerk reaction to everything, and that's to say "no!" If you say no to everything, eventually you're probably going to find a couple things that you look good for saying no to (like invading other countries without cause).

Why the heck do we want to spend so much when we are currently in debt? It doesn't make any sense.

And everybody knows that the Constitutions are meant to be flexible from the very beginning to encompass what everybody thinks is the ideal way to live. It was not meant to be a code for living...which everybody is supposed to abide by it no matter what. That's what it was meant to be from the beginning, but other politicians have used it as excuse to spend tax payers' money. That is why we are currently in debt. And now Obama invades Libya which has never been a threat to the U.S... The cost is like to triple as the war drag on....

Because in order to maintain a functioning society of over 311 million people you have to spend a lot of money? The debt is less important at the moment than jumpstarting the economy and reducing unemployment.

And now Obama invades Libya which has never been a threat to the U.S...

We didn't "invade" Libya, and it had nothing to do with Libya being a threat to the US. It was NATO, Sweden, and three Arab League states enforcing a UN and Arab League sanctioned no-fly-zone to ensure that the Libyan rebels were not completely wiped out by Gaddafi loyalists.

Obama hasn't invaded Libya and neither has the US military. NATO is conducting an air campaign to support the rebels there. The mandate will have to be renewed at the end of the year. Let's see whether that's even necessary. Sure, some countries also have people on the ground, though not in great numbers and so far, only the British and French have been confirmed as doing this, if I remember correctly.
Besides, this looks like the first successful NATO mission in ages, and some of the countries which were reluctant to participate now seem to wish they had. At least that seems to be the prevailing feeling in my country.

Back on topic, it is indeed a very well made ad but it feels like a theatrical trailer and I expected an alien invasion to start any second, especially in the second half. Because something has wo be wrong with all this harmony and the warm colours.

Your talking points are a little out of date, either that or you haven't watched the news since March.
