So...
Last spring many of us were predicting the summer box office grosses of 2008's blockbusters. In one particular thread, Bad Bishop theorized that The Dark Knight would not pass the box office gross of its predecessor for numerous solid reasons. I digressed.
He raised a bet. He said that if by September 2008, The Dark Knight had passed the $250 million mark at the box office, he would ship me a copy of the film on Blu-ray. If he did not, I would ship him a copy of The X-Files: I Want To Believe on Blu-ray. I gladly accepted the terms of the bet.
Well, we all know what the respective box office grosses of said films turned out.
In a gracious manner, Bad Bishop kept his promise: He shipped out a copy of The Dark Knight on Blu-ray, two-disc edition. His kindness surprised me and I have to give him kudos for keeping his promise and his side of the bet. I was genuinely shocked, not that he wouldn't keep his promise, since after five years posting on this board, debating topics left and right, I trusted him to keep his word...just genuinely surprised that he took the bet seriously enough to keep his word.
So, below is visual proof of said Blu-ray (in crappy phone camera quality) and I want to say: Thank you Bad Bishop, for the kind gift and for stupidly betting against me and The Dark Knight.
Cheers, mate.
