ReviewKingMB Sees Star Trek: TMP for the First Time

ReviewKingMB is another Youtuber channel I follow. I vaguely remember his early reviews being a bit lenient; he gave mostly postive reviews to questionable films. However, I think the more he's reviewed films (and choice television episodes) he tends to broaden how he looks at films, as well as television.

Here, he gives a 9min review of Star Trek: The Motion Picture, a possible project or 'countdown' to Beyond, I think. I personally find it interesting to see someone watch it for the first time.

Why does every internet reviewer feel the need to relate the plot?

And how can you watch that movie for 2+ hours and not know how to pronouce Vejur or Ilia? lol

For the plot: I can understand there are those who haven't seen the film and are curious about said film; they may watch it through the reviewer so they don't have to watch the film themselves. They get an idea of the plot and decide if they want to watch the film themselves.

For the name pronunciations: I agree with you. Mike Brown, 'the ReviewKingMB,' has messed up names before. Although, I wonder if he was fully invested in the film since he said he said he was losing interest after the first third (or 2/3rds of the film).

He is now reviewing Star Trek II after an initial viewing:

I'm including his most recent review of the 2009 film here to keep all the clips in one place. (As of this writing, it's not like there is a huge, huge discussion going on; it'll be redundant to break up the clips).

I guess I've been spoiled by the more professional reviews on youtube, but I don't have the patience to watch a guy talk to camera with poor sound for 10 minutes at a time. Sorry. :(

I like the guy, but better sound, plus using images or clips from the movies would go a long way to add interest.
