Returning to work

Starting Monday morning, it will be my first time coming back to work on my project ever since I've been interrupted a lot since last month and the funeral service.

I find it unacceptable that I've been interrupted in a separate events that occurred. Right now, I'm suffering of losing magic a bit, but all is not lost. I will be reading lots of books starting this weekend.

What is unacceptable: I'm falling behind from seven episodes that I'm supposed to be done to being with. Now I will have to study Star trek story once again to restore my vision that I was set to telling the future stories of Garden Keys.

More than just studying Star Trek story, I'll be study Star Wars story also to having two stories mixing together, so I can get a strong sense of what future episodes are supposed to be looking like.

To preventing from anymore interruptions in the future, I have to move to apartment in the order for me to grow up and continues to telling the story of Garden Keys, because season two of Garden Keys will be more darker, blood to be shed, solid story to be told. It will be very maturing, serious story that I've ever to working on.

I need your strong advice; what books of Star Trek or Star Wars should I be reading? Your advice will be very helpful to execute future stories of Garden Keys.

I hate to have to tell you this but it doesn't seem like you're aware of how TV shows are made and written.

I hate to tell you this I'm already aware of how TV shows are made and written. I'm dead serious this time. There's no excuse for me to falling my project behind, if I want to telling my story all across the world.

All I'm asking..I want solid books of Star Trek and Star Wars! All I want to do is to complete this journey, hideous. I feel like I'm being unsupported for this journey from the very beginning.

Fine..I'll do this on my own to climb up all the way.

I'm not so sure you are and if you really want to get into TV/film writing then you need to go carefully and play the game. TV shows are picked up based on pilot episodes, which is just one script, and they almost always pick them up from people who have experience writing scripts. Therefore you need to be a writer for another show first and work your way up.

If I am reading this right, you are writing a TV show that mixes Star Trek and Star Wars. Given that you are not authorized to write licensed tie-ins for either property (are you?), they will never amount to more than glorified fanfic, and at worst you'll end up with a lawyer sending you nasty letters.

You're all wrong, The Dead Nations.

I'm inspired by Star Trek and Star Wars. Garden Keys itself is following in the footsteps of Star Trek, Transformers, G.I. Joe. I've been watching those stories from the very day one.

I don't want Star Trek and Star Wars in my story. It's all my story, The Dead Nations. Do you see this problem for me to inspired by my favorite stories of all in the universe?

I could be completely wrong about this, but don't you need an agent? Don't you need to be a member of the writer's guild or something? I mean, you can't just write a TV show and expect it to be made. I'm not saying you shouldn't try, but I feel like there are other things you need to do first.

You're correct.

Do you have a plan for actually selling this, SA? It sounds like you intend to make a living from it, in which case you do need to be agented and have some kind of strategy for making this happen, not "I'll make a lot of phone calls and send a lot of letters until I get a hit."

It's difficult to publish a book but it's ten times more difficult to break into the television industry. Granted, there are many more TV shows now but it's still incredibly difficult.

I think, when it comes to TV, you really do have to "know someone who knows someone."

I know that I need an agent. But my project is very expensive, because it's not made to be for TV. Lost and Fringe cost ten million dollars for this, so does mine. I predict that it will cost more like fifteen million dollars.

Right now, I'm not trying to be greedy, but to balance my story more and I intends to be member of the writer's guild in the future, but not right now. I thought that I post in the previous thread that I planned on to take english major in college? It will allows me to construct my story from times to times.

Right now, this is not my time to emerge out to be famous, I don't want to be famous like this, I was meant to be telling the story, that's all.

Just out of curiosity, how old are you? Are you in college now? What kind of timetable are you looking at to finish this project?

24 years old. And to answer your questions; No. I'm not in college right now, but looking forward to later this year. I will have my counselor to helping me out to attend the college. And speaking of college, I'm looking forward to finish this project by 2013-2015.

You'll also need to have a solid series bible written out before you start to write out the episodes. That will ensure contiuity. And if it does get picked up, if additional writers come on to write future episodes, they'll need the bible to refer to.

All right, Sylar. How can I do it? I planned on to have a series bible to be written, but how that will helps additional writers to execute that story for Garden Keys?

I had a PDF version of Ron Moore's for BSG at one point. Lemmie see if I can find it again.

And once a series gets picked up, there will be additional writers working on the script, period. Either eperienced TV/ film writers or as additonal seasons progress "new blood" will be added on. Kind of like how Braga got started with TNG.

Sylar,

I found Battlestar Galactica series bible. I doubt that it will teach me how to execute Garden Keys series bible. But I can't find Star trek nor Star Wars series bible, but I'll go and looking for it.

Does the writing in your story contain the same subject/verb errors that you have shown in your posts here?
