i don't know if anyone else has heard about this, but today's Daily Mirror has a side-piece to an article talking to Karen, that claims that Ten's three companions are all returning in LKH. how that's going to work is anyone's guess.

Just based on what I know of the plot I can think of two different ways clips from past episodes could be used. (Nobody should be holding their breath for actual appearances.)

i think this IS actual appearances. that was what the article seemed to say 'cameos that could lead to them returning' and they appear with Matt.

You're going to be disappointed, then....

It's just photographs of them.

that seems more realistic

Agreed. Pretty sure they wouldn't have been able to keep something like that under wraps. It would have been hard to keep an appearance from one of the three under wraps; all three would have been impossible.

agreed near impossible to hide, and im not sure they could have even gotten all 3 actress back, or if Moffatt really wants them back.

The trouble with fans hatred of certain eras of the show is that they expect the series creators to share their opinions.

Sadly for them, Moffatt does not. If he did he wouldn't stick with the gay references (which is blatently to tease that section of fandom that gets so outraged at any suggestion of the fact the future is painted in a more liberal light) or continued with what the fans call the more soapy elements of the show (Married couple in the Tardis, baby, family committments etc which according to a section of fandom Who should just NOT do! )

He and would probably be very open to a return by one or more of the Ten-era companions IF THE STORY DEMANDS IT (ie not for its own sake). Indeed witness the return of the Ten-era Control room earlier this series or indeed Moffat going on record to state he's thinking of ways to bring Captain Jack back already!

Actually now I'm wondering if "the three" are all female or indeed if Jack is one of them! :p

I've had doubts about this since I read it...I don't think all three would come back for small roles in an episode that isn't even the finale! and yeah, i don't think they would've been able to keep it quiet this long.

Although I would love to see them all again! but, I can't get my hopes up.

I would think they feel they have already done that in "End of Time Part 2", where just about everybody came back for small cameo roles.

Hahaha! Love that clip; I miss the constant flirtation. And I know they've been toning it down a bit this season due to marriage and all, but I think it needs to come back!

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Jack was originally supposed to be part of the Doctor's team in A Good Man Goes To War, but Barrowman was busy filming Torchwood, so they had to change it.

Barrowman would have been a good fit for A Good Man Goes to War, I wonder if he was replaced with the Silurian and her maid?

^ I hope not, cuz then we probably wouldn't have had the goodness that was Madam Vastra & Jenny! :D
