Retro Star Trek Shirt (1975 Donmoor Reissue)

Hey guys! Some of you might remember me from some of the old Enterprise Restoration project topics. I'm John and a few years ago I started working with Anovos. I was always obsessed with the costumes and particularly my little green Donmoor Star Trek shirt. I tried getting it made over the years and finally did it on a large scale. We're going to make them, and Star Trek .com even interviewed me about the originals and mine! I couldn't be more jazzed, and had to share it with someone other than my co-workers who are tired of hearing about them. LOL

So is it stupid or can I be a happy Trekkie that for one day I had the cover story on ST.com? LOL

My friends are sick to death of hearing it, but I realllllllllly have wanted to wear my green shirt again for about, oh, 39 years or so. These last couple of months are going to kill me. Its so close now, but still feels so far away. Its like a Christmas Eve that just won't end. Arghghghg....

I still have the patch from mine, now glued to a gold polo as a rec-style shirt. I wore my Donmoor to the 1979 STTMP premier. TOO small, since they came out in 74 or so, and I had to seriously slouch, but it mattered to me. Dork city, but so it goes.

LOL! I tried to wear mine to TMP also! Too funny. I actually had two a green one and a gold one. I still have both and my green shirt is one of my oldest and most dear possessions.

I recall a kid at school had one of those Donmoor shirts. I had some Star Trek uniform pajamas as a kid that were about the same vintage.

I had a red one I wore for my 4th grade class photo back in 1976....I intentionally neglected to mention to my mom, as I was pretty sure she'd never let me wear it if she knew it was class photo day. Turns out I was right, as 40 years later I can recall how angry she was. Still have the photo somewhere. The idea of buying one today is intriguing.

I had a red one and a gold one as a kid. I remember I wanted the long sleeved versions with the rank stripes, but it was the middle of summer at the time and Mom wasn't having that, so I got the short-sleeved versions instead. I still wore them both until I couldn't anymore.

I like the green one a lot. I wouldn't have been able to wear them in the 70s, unless they made adult sizes too, as I graduated high school in 1976. : D

I finally got a pre-production sample for my approval. Its awesome!!! Its my original 41 year old, little green shirt reborn for my old squidgy body. I can't wait for people to see these shirts out in the wild. They're gonna be everywhere!
