Resurrecting minor characters

Are there any characters you'd like to see developed more, even if it's only a small role? One of the few Trek comics I have is the movie-era Revisitations by DC, and it does a nice job of bringing both Harry Mudd and Gary Seven back for another go in separate storylines. I also liked that Gary's plot seemed to contain several nods to TUC, and a possible motivation for the conspiracy that developed against Gorkon.

I always wonder what happened to Captain Maxwell from TNG ep The Wounded. Once he was drummed out of the service, did he become a Maquis, or have a founding role in that group?

And more out of curiousity, I'd like to know what happened to Boma from The Galileo Seven. A novel speculated that he was drummed out of the service for insubordination and fell in with a power-mad admiral.

However, never really cared for Harry Mudd. Two eps with him were enough, frankly. Same goes for the Mudd-clone, Cyrano Jones. Bo-ring!

Red Ranger

A few that come to mind:

Ensign Tsu, Sam Lavelle

The Delaney Sisters, Samantha Wildman, Chell and the "minors" from "Good Shepherd"

Rostov (sp?), Novakovich and Cutler. (Probably would have seen more of Cutler had fate not intervened)

Would like to see what happened to:

Capt. Bateson after his TNG appearance, and Capt. Benteen after the events of "Homefront"/"Paradise Lost" on DS9.

That was Dreadnought! Boma became a civilian contractor who still worked for Starfleet, and helped to develop some aspects of the Federation class dreadnoughts.

Gary Seven and even his race would have been a perfect Delta or Gamma Quadrant race to have met.

Well, so far as Revisitations is concerned, Gary is a human from the 20th century. But the "agency" he works for is a separate group of aliens.

I always wondered what happened to Pulaski after she left the Enterprise. I also wondered what became of Ro Laren after she left Starfleet to join the Maquis. I think the novels have touched on these issues (particularly with regards to Ro, who is a main character in the DS9 relaunch novels).

Sam Levelle from TNG's "Lower Decks" was a nicely developed character for a one-off appearance. He could have been made recurring had the show not ended.

What's Sela been up to? Did she survive the Dominion War? Does she wield any military or political power?

Wesley and the Traveller (maybe that's been done in Trek books but I haven't read a Trek novel in a long time).

I feel dirty for even mentioning it, but Wesley actually appears in Nemesis.
He did?
Yeah, only in a deleted scene though.

I only saw it once and I don't remember much (trying to purge the memories).
Sorry for refreshing your memories. :(

Oh yes, I remember now. He was in the background during the wedding scene. Apparently he was in quite a few scenes but to shorten the movie they cut him out. He freaked out on his blog and trashed the producers.

Amazing how much you can remember with a shock to the system. I need to lay down.

I get that he'd have issues with them cutting him out of the entire movie. That probably really sucked for him.

Doesn't he trash Wesley alot himself though? There's something to be said when you don't even like your own character.

As for any character's id like to see back.. Ziyal, i think. I would like to see her evil, in the mirror universe. And Jadzia, was she dead in the MU after Terry Farrell left?

Normally I would agree, but in this case? He played Wesley as a child. I think he's entitled to have an opinion about the character after all these years.

In The Emperor's New Cloak it is mentioned that she was killed.

Oh i dont doubt that! Hindsight is a funny thing.
As i recall, he didn't like him back then either, and considering the popularity of the character, its amazing he stuck around for so long.

Wanna know a secret? I had a major crush on Wesley as a kid, ssh.. Don't tell anyone.
